Who is Brigid Zengeni?
I’m British actor who moved to Sydney with her family four years ago. Having never been to Sydney, I really had no idea what to expect but coming from the ‘Big Smoke’ to the glorious blue skies, pristine beaches and cultural richness has been an incredible life experience and I feel utterly blessed to be part of that community.
What would you do differently from what you do now?
You know, I’ve wanted to be an actor for as long as I can remember so it’s hard to imagine doing anything else… I’d love to be good at making things. So maybe a carpenter?
Who inspires you and why?
I’m inspired daily by people from all walks of life. But particularly by courage and people who show deep strength in times of adversity
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Nature is the foundation of our health and well-being and the consequences of climate change are becoming more and more severe, causing water scarcity, heat waves, large forest fires and floods. These hazards disproportionately hit the most vulnerable people in our societies, including children, the elderly and people with little money or ill health. So if I were to make a difference in the world, it would certainly revolve around our environment.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Scotland. I know I know – cold and wet. But breathtaking scenery with rolling hills, sparkling lochs, steep cliffs, wild beaches, romantic castles and fabulous whiskey. Oh, and the people. Seriously brilliant people. Salt of the earth.
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Bondi to Coogee Beach Walk. I still get such a thrill from living in a city with beaches.
What are you currently reading?
Haha! So my 12-year-old daughter has been devouring a collection of books. When I asked her about them she was a bit shady, so I’ve started reading them to make sure it’s age appropriate. It’s called The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas.
What are you currently listening to?
Been listening to The Moral Maze podcast.
Happiness Is?
Being at our bush block. No phones. No TV. Just family and nature.
What does the future hold for you?
No idea. Just how I like it.
