Gold Coast entertainment destination, the Pink Flamingo Broadbeach, is set to reach new heights with the launch of its most magnificent show to date ZIRQUE LA LA – a riotous circus cabaret exclusive to the venue this April.
The circus meets burlesque meets Gold Coast chutzpah in a new show coming to the tourism capital’s most tantalising performance venue.
You have heard of Cirque du Soleil and the ‘oh la la’ Pink Flamingo shows are famous for such as SUAVE and THE GLITZ; now they have married the two in ZIRQUE LA LA to wow crowds from April fools day.
A delicious fusion of dangerous cirque, burlesque, vaudeville and cabaret will have you on the edge of your seat; raunchy antics and side splitting comedy by Melon the clown will keep you there.
The show is led by Ring Mistress La La and veteran Pink Flamingo performer plus MC Monsieur Jerome, he said: “As this show has a circus motif, you will see a bevy of what The Pink Flamingo is famous for – jaw-dropping moments, only possible by pushing boundaries.”
Joined by exotic international duo Desko, Spanish bricklayer turned cirque ‘Strong Man’ and pole dancing instructor turned aerial artist Nina Storm who will have you transfixed.
“The entertainment benchmark is elevated with every new production at the Pink Flamingo. Our performers somehow keep getting more fearless, more flexible, stronger, crazier… you’ll have to see it to believe it,” said Monsieur Jerome.
Spiegelclub Co-Founder Sue Porrett ran away with Ashtons Circus as a child; in 2023 her lifelong dream to bring brilliant circus nostalgia to Broadbeach with a twist will be realised. Ms Porrett credited cast diversity and cirque credentials to lifts on travel restrictions post pandemic.
“Without travel restrictions we were able to search far and wide for the perfect cast who would fit the characters created for ZIRQUE LA LA. This show will be a masterpiece and our very best yet!” she said.
