The Broadway Tony award-winning smash hit, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, has returned to Melbourne, playing for a strictly limited season at The Alex Theatre, St Kilda until 2 July 2023.
Stage Bugs Productions is proud to present the beloved musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. This classic show has been a favourite of audiences of all ages for decades, and we are excited to bring it to life for Melbourne audiences once again.
You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown was originally staged in 1967 with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and later in 1999 with revisions by Andrew Lippa. It is based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip, Peanuts.
Directed by Cameron O’Reilly, with Musical Direction by Matthew Nutley and Choreography by Lisa-Maree Thomason, the production features a talented cast of professional actors who are eager to share their passion and love for this timeless musical including Jackson Howe, Britni Leslie, Dinesh Mathew Dylan Mazurek, Samantha Stewart, Bradley Storer and Rebecca Symonds.
With a renewed focus on authenticity and simplicity, Stage Bugs have crafted a production that stays true to the original spirit of the show, while also bringing new energy and excitement to the stage.
You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown tells the story of the beloved Peanuts characters as they navigate the ups and downs of daily life. From Charlie Brown’s attempts to fly a kite to Lucy’s constant pursuit of Schroeder’s attention, this show captures the humour, heart, and joy of Charles M. Schulz’s iconic comic strip.
