Wynnum Fringe returns for 2025

The Wynnum Fringe Launch in the Augathella SpiegeltentFrom the heart of the city to the soul of the outback, Wynnum Fringe returns for its sixth sparkling year, uniting Queensland’s stories and stages in a vibrant celebration of connection, creativity and community.

Queensland’s quirkiest winter arts festival will once again transform Brisbane’s bayside into a buzzing hub of music, comedy, cabaret and circus from 2 – 20 July 2025.

The beating heart of this year’s Wynnum Fringe is the iconic Augathella Spiegeltent and will host the introduction of a beloved bush tradition, the Wynnum B&S Ball, alongside comedy royalty Wil Anderson and Dave Thornton bringing their razor-sharp wit.

Beloved stage icon Rhonda Burchmore returns with her hit cabaret show Rhonda’s After Party, while Lisa Woodbrook and her sizzling dancers serve up MILLENNIAL: Hits of the 90s & 00s! From dazzling the world’s biggest stages with André Rieu, Brisbane-born soprano Mirusia Louwerse will swap marble pillars for the quirky warmth of the Augathella Spiegeltent for Arias In The Afternoon.

Head First Acrobats presents RAILED photo by Frank PackerFor those who love their cabaret circus with extra cheek, the return of Head First Acrobats and their five-star adults-only RAILED is a must-see, while Tash York’s Chaos Cabaret presents a wild mix of drag, cabaret, circus, & burlesque

Music fans are in for a treat with an exclusive Australian debut performance from acclaimed American musician Theo Katzman, while family entertainment abounds with local legends Shake & Stir presenting three crowd-pleasing productions: George’s Marvellous Medicine, Romeo & Juliet and Burn Out.

Internationally acclaimed vocalist and cabaret performer Thomas Armstrong-Robley brings Live at Frankie’s: The Songs of Valli & Sinatra, while Australia’s favourite piano man, Dr. Trevor Jones, and his band present a tribute to your favourite piano men in Still Standing.

Prepare for mind-blowing magic, jaw-dropping circus and explosive science as The Greatest Magic ShowCIRCUS – The Show, and KABOOM! take over the Augathella Spiegeltent in a celebration of wonder, laughter and pure theatrical joy.

Two Wynnum Fringe signature events also return by popular demand: Bay Pride and Yana Marumba (Walk Through Time) – a powerful opening ceremony celebrating local First Nations culture.
