Windmill Theatre appoints new General Manager / Producer

Windmill Theatre Kaye WeeksAdelaide’s Windmill Theatre has announced the appointment of Kaye Weeks as the company’s new General Manager/Producer. Kaye takes on the role following the recent departure of Sandy Verschoor.

“Following a national recruitment campaign, the Board is pleased to offer this important role to Kaye Weeks,” said  Bruce Speirs, Chair of Windmill Theatre. “She comes to us with extensive experience in the arts and is known to Windmill having previously held the role of Marketing and Corporate Relations Manager for the company. I am confident we have someone who will bring unique skills to the role and, as importantly, a massive passion for Windmill.”

Kaye joins Windmill following her most recent position as Director of Marketing and Communications for the Adelaide Festival of Arts, with previous roles including Marketing and Public Relations Manager for State Theatre Company of South Australia and Senior Consultant at 12 Parasols PR in Melbourne.

“I am thrilled to be taking on this role, co-leading Windmill Theatre in partnership with Artistic Director Rosemary Myers, the Board and the entire team,” said Weeks.

“Windmill is one of the most exciting arts companies in Australia having had its Broadway debut and produced its first feature film last year, alongside extensive international touring of other shows in repertoire. It’s an exciting time and I’m looking forward to seeing where we can take this company next.

Artistic Director Rosemary Myers said, “I couldn’t be happier with this excellent appointment. The whole company, including our artists, are looking forward to working with Kaye in this leadership role.”
