Will Dickie presents White Sun at The Blue Room Theatre this Summer

BRT Will Dickie White SunIn a lo-fi solo symphony of words and movement, Award-Winning UK artist Will Dickie returns to Perth for the Australian premiere of White Sun at The Blue Room Theatre, as part of the Summer Nights season, from 25 January 2025.

Conjuring the ghosts of the men who have dominated the stage before him, acclaimed performance maker Will Dickie coaxes his audience into a web of intersecting tensions between inheritance, privilege, and addiction. Addiction to substances, to work, to the lure of success and greatness.

White Sun is sharp, absurd and delightfully strange. Making the personal political, Dickie sets his own experiences against a backdrop of British colonial history in a raw & evocative self-portrait.

Following powerful performances in Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Cardiff and London, Dickie presents White Sun at The Blue Room Theatre in a highly anticipated late night of dance and theatre. A considered, precise and exhilarating performance.

Will Dickie is an acclaimed independent performance maker in dance, theatre, film, and live art, creating soulful, site-specific works that blend body, autobiography, and place.

His award-winning films have been screened across Europe and Lebanon. He continues collaborating internationally with diverse artists from all backgrounds.

“Something about White Sun stays with you long after you leave the room. It poses questions and gives no answers; shimmers with humour and exhausts you with problems; feels important and tells you that it isn’t. Dickie is remarkable while being remarkably imperfect.” – Buzz Magazine.
