Melbourne’s theatre audiences breathed a sigh of relief and the first show announced post lockdown sold out within an hour of Premier Daniel Andrew’s statement released on Sunday! The Indy production has had to release extra shows to cope with the incredible demand.
7th Floor Theatre Co-founder, Heather Bloom says that the show’s success is down to “John Patrick Shanley’s devilishly delicious comedy full of acidic wit and hard to swallow home truths. We may have hit “pause” on 2020, but Where’s My Money? is the rapid fire, fast paced action audiences are craving.”
“Throughout both lockdowns we have kept in close contact with Creative Victoria to ensure that we adhere to their Arts & Culture Guidelines for COVID as they evolve,” said Matthew Richard Walsh, Artistic Director, Cracked Actors Theatre. “This is an emotional moment for everyone. We are overwhelmed with the public’s response.”
“7th Floor Theatre have been locked and loaded all year. These performers, like artists everywhere, thoroughly deserve to be back at work. Post lockdown, you deserve a CRACKING night at the CAT!” said Walsh.
The stellar cast for this season includes Heather Bloom, Catherine Ward, Hayden Burke, Alexander Lloyd, Clare Hayes & Laurence Young. Directed by Hayden Burke with Catherine Ward as Assistant Director. Don’t miss the chance to see a show that’s already become part of Melbourne’s Indy Theatre folklore!
