Voting now open for Australia’s favourite instrument in ABC’s Classic 100!

AAR-ABC-Classic-100ABC Classic and ABC Jazz proudly present the Classic 100: Your Favourite Instrument – Australia’s biggest classical music event. The search for the country’s favourite instrument kicks off today, with voting now open for the 2023 countdown!

Now in its 22nd year, the Classic 100 is a highly anticipated event among music lovers. Each year, the countdown features a different theme, and in 2023, we’re inviting audiences to vote for their favourite instrument from all musical cultures and traditions, including classical, jazz, pop, folk and everything in between.

“We can’t wait to find out what instruments our listeners love hearing and what will be Australia’s number one. I’m sure there will be a few surprises in the top 100. I hope my favourite, the dulcitone, will make it,” said ABC Classic and ABC Jazz Content Manager Kat McGuffie.
