Tuck Shop Ladies: There’s A Song In That

Tuck Shop Ladies photo by Nick ManuellFrom festival stages across the country to two sold-out seasons at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Tuck Shop Ladies have made a career out of finding the funny side of life – and now they’re taking it one step further.

This October, the Tuck Shop Ladies bring their brand-new show, There’s a Song in That!, to the Quilt Room at Trades Hall as part of the 2025 Melbourne Fringe Festival.

Armed with ukuleles and an open invitation to chaos, comedy duo Sam Lohs and Rosie Burgess will transform audience suggestions into songs on the spot. Think wild ideas, ridiculous stories, and the occasional stroke of lyrical genius – all crafted live before your eyes.

They make no promises about the quality – but there will be stories, digressions, chaos, and at least one freshly minted potential banger by the end of the night. “We have no idea what’s going to happen, and we’re hoping like hell it’s all going to come together on the night, but you never know…” the pair confess.

After sixteen years of touring, parenting, and raising an anxious dog, The Tuck Shop Ladies are seasoned experts in rolling with the unexpected. Their trademark chemistry, quick wit, and knack for finishing each other’s sentences (and choruses) mean one thing is certain: whatever happens on stage, it will be wildly entertaining.

And because the audience helps shape each show, no two nights will ever be the same – experience what happens when life’s most ridiculous moments become the soundtrack to the night.
