Trash & Trevor – The Best of Trevor Ashley

Trevor AshleyThe undisputed International Queen of Cabaret! Lavish and loud, brazen and bold, Trevor Ashley premieres his brand new show Trash & Trevor at NORPA at Lismore City Hall on Friday 29 December 2017.

An evening with Trevor Ashley is the perfect way to kick off your Tropical Fruits Festival experience with a diva degustation of Cher, Tina Turner, Liza Minnelli and of course Shirley Bassey.

Featuring highlights from his sell-out cabaret shows I’m Every Woman and Star Struck with recollections from Priscilla and Les Miserables TrAshley will sing your favourite divas like you’ve never heard them before. As well as a sizzling live band, Trevor will be joined by special guest Markesha McCoy (NYC), one of the stars of Las Vegas’ Rock of Ages.

Trevor Ashley is one of Australia’s most sought-after and successful performers, building a career as an actor, writer, and director. Trevor has starred as Thenardier in Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Miserables for which he received a Helpmann Award nomination.

He also played the leading role of Edna Turnblad in David Atkins’ Hairspray (Sydney Theatre Award nomination), and was also an original cast member of Priscilla Queen of the Desert – the Musical, creating the role of Miss Understanding.

But it is in the works of his own creations that he truly shines including, Fat Swan (Helpmann nominee), Little Orphan TrAshleyDiamonds Are For Trevor (Helpmann nominee), I’m Every Woman (Sydney Theatre Award – Best Cabaret), and his two Liza Minnelli shows Liza (on an E) and Liza’s Back (is broken) which has sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House and taken him around the world, culminating with a season in London’s West End.

Trevor will be coming to Lismore hot on the stiletto heels of his sell-out Whitney panto at Sydney’s Seymour Centre The Bodybag. “I have been wanting to come and celebrate at Tropical Fruits for ages, it’s a legendary event and I’ll be bringing everything I’ve got to this show,” says Trevor. “So look out Lismore!”

“The standing ovation nearly lifted the roof off… Ashley is a cheeky crowd teaser and, unquestionably, a crowd pleaser…” – Herald Sun
