Tight Mums, Loose Units

ADL Fringe 2024 Tight Mums Loose UnitsAfter smashing Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Melbourne Fringe and Geelong Comedy Festival with sold out shows, the Tight Mums bring their milkshakes to Adelaide Fringe Festival this March.

A smorgasbord of stand-up comedy and song, four hot diverse mammas give it to you straight with a hysterical spin on marriage, motherhood, divorce and dating.

Featuring three dysfunctionally married and one happily divorced gal, they feel pressure to be perfect wives and mothers – tightly wound, tight friends, tight bodies; but when they hit the stage, they’re loose units!

Tight Mums, Loose Units are the proud recipients of a 2024 Digital Marketing Grant, courtesy of Arts Unlimited and Arts SA.

Pradeepa Timmermans has opened for Dave O’Neil, Tom Gleeson, Anne Edmonds & Joe White. Pradeepa has 4 MICF shows under her belt and a podcast Uncomfortable Truths, where she interviews comedians. Pradeepa recently performed at Age Out Loud, hosted by Judith Lucy and was a 2023 Raw Comedy semi-finalist.

Marilyn Leder has shared the stage with Chris Rock in L.A., toured Australasia in Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story musical and has worked in script development for ABC Comedy and NBC Television in the heyday of Seinfeld, Frasier and Friends.

University lecturer by day, comedian and blues singer by night, Marilyn’s 2022 debut solo show, The MILF Next Door was a MICF and Fringe Festival knockout. A 2023 Raw Comedy Honourable Mention.

Aarti Vincent has performed shows at MICF, Melbourne Fringe & Adelaide Fringe. Having hung up her yoga teacher’s mat she has been killing audiences regularly around Australia, Bali and Vietnam with her observational humour. She’s a bilingual comedian spreading laughter in Hindi and a 2024 Raw Comedy semi-finalist.

Kate Hanley Corley is a Melbourne-based comedian who performs character-based comedy, stand-up and writes and performs satirical songs. Her parody songs Victoria, Suttonly and Hotel Quarantina went viral during Melbourne’s lockdowns. Kate has been selling out festivals in both Melbourne and Geelong since 2012.

“These four bombshells hit the stage with a vengeance… Be ready to be challenged, surprised and laugh till your guts hurt… Completely relatable and disgustingly hilarious.” – Weekend Notes
