Even though the backdrop image of an Irish pub, during The Shamrocks stage show is an obvious AI generated fake, there is nothing else other than authentic ‘craic’ (Irish fun energy) on stage in the rest of their music and presentation.
There is nothing sham about how these guys will rock you with harmonies and charming Irish lilt that goes well above just a standard folk music offering. It’s not only because these six boys are actually from Ireland, it’s because of their proficiency with delivering nuanced six-part harmony, emotionally powering the fast songs, to disarm your resistance.
Once disarmed, the slower ballads is where that detail and lilting Irish loveliness embodied in their harmonies, accompanied by authentic Irish instruments can really make you well up. They take folk and sea shanties and turn them into folks-chanting-seat-shakers, and if you dare sing along to the ballad choruses your heart will jump into your throat.
Some unfortunate sound leakage from the nearby Lark tent wasn’t enough to take the shine off of this craic-ing show. If 3 leafed shamrocks are standard, and 4 leafed are Lucky, this 6 leafed shamrock represents harmony, but you should go and see it, just to be sure to be sure.
