The Choir of Man to make its Sydney premiere

The Choir of Man - photo by Brian WrightAfter wowing audiences in Adelaide recently, the international runaway hit of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Choir of Man will make its Sydney Opera House premiere from 20 March 2019.

Set in a cosy British pub called ‘The Jungle’ – The Choir of Man combines incredible vocals with high energy dance, live percussion and foot stomping choreography. Most pubs have a football club, a darts team, or an intimidatingly vast array of craft beer – this one has a male voice choir.

An energetic show for all ages, The Choir of Man brings together world-class singers, dancers, instrumentalists and poets with flawless vocal harmonies. The show even has a real working bar from which the cast will pull pints and invite audience members to get up-close-and-personal with the show, drinking in the action on-stage.

This musical adventure features a cast of nine mates performing pop, folk and rock classics over drinks. With a set-list that includes hits from the likes of Paul Simon, Adele, Avicii, Queen and Guns N’ Roses, there’s something for everyone in this joyous evening.

“The guys have spent the last couple of years touring the UK and the USA and they can’t wait to bring the show to Sydney,” said Producer and Director, Nic Doodson. “This show is such a great time for all – whether it’s a ladies night, first date, guys night out or even a hen’s party! So, grab your best mates and we’ll see you at the venue… the first pint is on us (seriously!).”

“Nine larrikins on stage present an hour and twenty of free beers, onstage antics and some of the finest harmonies in the business.” – All About Entertainment (Adelaide)
