Six & Out

Six and Out_Nathan LittleAcclaimed dramatist, Wayne Tunks, returns with the world premiere of his raunchy new one act play, Six & Out. A comedy about cricket, infidelity and one wife’s very nasty temper.

While Australia is about to battle the poms in the Ashes at home, in this story, the clash is taking place in the UK. It must be fiction, as Australia and the England are tied in the series with just one match left to find a winner.

Australia’s opening batsman, Darren Fletcher, has the weight of his country on his shoulders. He’s aging and has been struggling of late, with the press calling for him to retire. He needs a good luck charm to help him find form again, enter sexy local London girl Sierra.

Holed up in his hotel room, the last thing he expects is a visit from his long suffering and very angry wife, Vicki. No fast bowler has ever been as frightening as a comeback from Vicki.

“I’ve always loved cricket, and naturally theatre is my big passion; so I was very excited to combine the two,” says Tunks.

“However, at the heart of this story are themes of fame, sexual politics and monogamy. I think there will be something for everyone in this fun little comedy.”

Tunks has established himself as one of this country’s top independent theatre writers and producers. His successful productions have included, The Subtle Art of Flirting, Things Not To Do After a Break Up, Hell Hath No Fury and this year’s sell out at La Mama, Fag Boy & The Married Guy. In this project he is working with three very talented actors with three amazingly brave and hilarious performances.
