Last year, one of Australia’s sharpest comedians Simon Taylor was told he was going to be a dad. Then he was told he might not be the dad. Then he was told he was probably the dad. Then he read the entire internet trying to work out his chances of being the dad.
His upcoming freshly hatched comedy show entitled Happy Times details the hilarious mess of Simon’s journey to potential fatherhood. Never before has Simon tackled such an intense life experience.
Renown for his sharp wit and intelligent approach to stand-up, this show takes his comedy mind and applies it to the shock of his life! You’ll hear his story, laugh at his blunders, marvel at his ridiculous interpretive dance and chortle at his musical numbers.
Simon Taylor began stand-up on the Melbourne comedy scene. By the age of 24 he became a writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in Los Angeles. Since then he has written for Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell on the ABC and for Comedy Central and Netflix in the US.
His one-hour ABC comedy special, Simon Taylor – Human aired in early 2017 and went on to feature on iView as well as achieving multiple reruns. The special aired again on Australian airwaves via Channel 11 in December 2017.
“His comedy is intelligent and thought provoking.” – West Australian
