Shhh its and Giggles

TBC Britni Leslie Shhh its and GigglesA toe-tapping, wine-swilling cabaret about the mid-highs and extreme lows of growing up, Britni Leslie returns to The Butterfly Club this May with Shhh its and Giggles.

All her life Britni wanted to be a grown-up, but what happens when you actually grow up? Maybe it’s not like all those fairytales you read when you were younger. Grab your gals and laugh out loud at her hilarious, unglamorous truths about getting older, in a show that is sure to leave you giggling long after you leave the theatre.

If that’s not enough, her pianist Tim Verdon’s twinkling fingers will have you smiling all night long. Whether you love a good show tune, an embarrassing story, or a night full of laughter, you can’t help but get caught up in this production about the reality of Ageing.

Britni is thrilled to be back performing in Melbourne again. Most recently she was seen performing as Glinda in Wicked. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, she has worked in Orlando, Florida, professionally for over 6 years where she performed with Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, The Orlando Repertory Theatre, Orlando Shakespeare Theatre and Sea World. She then began a new adventure in New York City where she performed in many productions and cabarets throughout the city before moving to Australia and calling Melbourne home.

Tim Verdon has been playing piano since he was too short to reach the pedals. In that time, he has worked on many musical theatre productions as musical director, keyboard/piano player, and occasional performer. He also has much experience accompanying for concerts, eisteddfods, auditions and exams. Highlights over the past year include touring China with Silvie Paladino, playing piano for the musical theatre industry night at Dracula’s, and jamming with Peter Combe in Carols by Chapel-Light at Chapel Off Chapel.

“Fantastic storytelling fronted by a supremely confident performer who absolutely lit up the room.” – SYN Radio
