Gavin Roach presents the Australian premiere of Sauna Boy by Dan Ireland-Reeves – which will play The Motley Bauhaus: 29 January – 3 February, as part of the 2024 Midsumma Festival, before playing Perth’s Fringe World Festival and Adelaide Fringe in February.

From multi-award-winning writer/performer, Dan Ireland-Reeves, comes a semi-autobiographical look behind the curtain of one of the world’s most secretive and seductive industries.
Pulsing with frenetic energy and laced with sexual tension; Sauna Boy is guaranteed to touch you in more ways than one.
Dan Ireland-Reeves is an award-winning writer and actor based in the UK. He trained at Birmingham School of Acting before going on to create new work as both a writer and performer.
Dan was selected to attend the Hightide writers boot camp, where he honed his writing skills and was one of six writers to have their work performed as part of Sell a Door’s new writing festival.
Dan has since gone on to win the Write for the Stage award for Best New Writing and continues to develop unique and exciting new work. His work includes I Am B-19, Bleach, Jesus Camp The Musical, Man Enough, Lost & Found, Blaggards and Double Negative.
Dan’s work was recently featured on the Emmy award-winning documentary series Immersive World.
