ROOMAN

Arts House ROOMAN Fleur Elise Noble - photo by John FeelAn exquisitely textural visual performance that beautifully weaves puppetry, projection, drawing and dance, Arts House presents the world premiere of Fleur Elise Noble’s ROOMAN at the North Melbourne Town Hall from 21 November 2017.

Following your dreams, waking up, and living, a girl meets a half-man-half-kangaroo in her dreams and falls in love. Obsessed by his reality, and the idea of becoming a part of it, she takes desperate measures to spend more time with him. This obsession leads her into the darkest depths of the human psyche.

ROOMAN is a heart-warming, heart-breaking, visual-musical extravaganza by extraordinary artist Fleur Elise Noble. Beautifully weaving a rich tapestry of visual performance, puppetry, projection, drawing, dance and live music, ROOMAN is a visual feast.

A story about falling in love with fantasy and the pursuit of happiness, ROOMAN is a life-sized version of a low-tech hologram or a high-tech paper pop-up book. Audiences will be taken inside the dreams of Elise-Noble, as she created a giant three dimensional paper set.

A multi-award winner, Fleur Elise Noble is a maker of all things visual – drawing, painting, sculpture, animation, film, puppetry, projection and performance. Her most renowned work, the visual spectacular 2-Dimensional Life of Her has been invited to perform at over 40 venues and festivals around the world, including; London, New York, LA, Brazil, Iran, South Korea and extensively throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
