Quiet, Please! There are ladies on stage!

Bernadette RobinsonHot on the news that Songs for Nobodies will transfer to the West End, Bernadette Robinson will perform her new show, Quiet, Please! There are ladies on stage! at Melbourne Recital Centre (MRC) on Sunday 14th October 2018.

This comes as the exciting news is announced that the uniquely talented Australian singer and actor is taking her critically acclaimed one-woman tour de force Song for Nobodies to the West End for a limited seven week run in January to February 2019.

The production, directed by Simon Phillips and written by Joanna Murray Smith specifically to showcase Bernadette’s extraordinary vocal ability, had its European premiere at Wilton’s Music Hall earlier this year and opened to wide critical and audience acclaim. Bernadette was nominated as “Best Female Performer” in the “Offies”, the annual awards for London’s off-West End theatre industry.

Starring in sold out seasons of Pennsylvania Avenue and Songs for Nobodies, and a favourite of MRC’s performing artists, Bernadette Robinson returns for a sparkling concoction of musical delights, accompanied by two brilliant musicians, Mark Jones and Paul Noonan.

Meet surprise guests (think Shirley Bassey and Julie Andrews) and delight in interpretations of songs from her favourite contemporary songwriters. Don’t miss this final chance to see her before she leaves for London!

“Robinson is a consummate performer and great favourite of mine.” – Barry Humphries
