Bringing a vibrant celebration of contemporary art to one of Victoria’s most iconic locations, the highly anticipated second edition of Quarantine Art Fair returns to the clifftop of Portsea’s Point Nepean National Park in January 2025.
“Similar to the concepts often seen in the Hamptons, this summer salon show provides the perfect setting for sunny afternoons of fine art, sculpture and aperitifs,” says Fair Director Luisa Bosci.
Set in the historic Commanding Officer’s House, Quarantine Art Fair provides a unique environment to experience exhibitions from a select group of Naarm/Melbourne’s most notable galleries. For four days from Wednesday 8 January the property will be transformed into a suite of dynamic exhibition spaces for participating galleries.
With presentations of painting, sculpture, ceramic, textile and photography, from both emerging and established Australian artists, the fair will create an engaging environment for visitors to not only explore, but acquire contemporary art.
Featured galleries include Kalli Rolfe Contemporary Art, LON Gallery, MARS, Murray White Room, Nicholas Thompson Gallery, Sarah Scout Presents, Sophie Gannon Gallery, STATION, and This Is No Fantasy.
Quarantine Art Fair draws its name from the rich history of Point Nepean, and this year expands to include an external sculpture component, SITE. Surrounded by rolling lawns and stunning views of Port Phillip Bay, it will provide the perfect backdrop to explore compelling contemporary art in a relaxed seaside environment.
“We see Quarantine Art Fair as not only an opportunity to support artists and galleries, but to engage audiences with the arts in a very relaxed yet sophisticated setting,” says Fair Director Jane Hayman.
The Quarantine Art Fair, with its million-dollar views and the Canonita Bar under the bough of a Moreton Bay fig, will be the place to entertain, and be entertained, this summer!
The Quarantine Art Fair takes place in the Commanding Officer’s House – Point Nepean National Park, Portsea, from 8 – 11 January 2025. For more information, visit: www.quarantineartfair.com for details.
