On the Couch with Tricia Paoluccio

Tricia Paoluccio AAR On the CouchWho is Tricia Paoluccio?
Tricia Paoluccio is a story teller, a creator, an artist, a mother, a California farm girl from a small town whose dreams have all come true.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
You mean career wise? I have fantasies of going back to school to become a forensic scientist – because I love true crime. I wish that I had learnt to drive at a young age, as now I know that I shouldn’t be trusted behind the wheel of a car.

Who inspires you and why?
Obviously Dolly Parton – I’m her biggest fan and I just love everything she’s ever done and everything she stands for.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Be nice and kind to everyone I meet.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
My favourite place to visit on vacation is my parents farm in Modesto California.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I always recommend to take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry – because you get to see all of New York from the water.

What are you currently reading?
My script – Here You Come Again has been adapted for Australia, so I am busily learning all new lines!

What are you currently listening to?
Our new orchestrations for the Here You Come Again – thanks to our genius MD Andrew Worboys.

Happiness is?
Playing Dolly Parton 8 shows per week, baking sourdough, playing games with my kids and spending time with my family.

What does the future hold for you?
I am thrilled that the rest of this year will be spent touring Australia with this beautiful show. And while I am here I plan to pick and press Australian native flowers for a new exhibition. I am a passionate flower presser and growing my business, Domain of the Flowerings.

Tricia stars as Dolly in Here You Come Again – which will play the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne (12 – 20 July | 23 October – 2 November), Regal Theatre, Perth (22 – 31 August), Theatre Royal Sydney (12 – 28 September), Newcastle Civic Theatre (20 – 23 November), Canberra Theatre Centre (27 – 30 November), and Her Majesty’s Theatre, Adelaide (6 – 14 December).
