On the Couch with Tom O’Sullivan

Arts Review Tom O'Sullivan On the CouchWho is Tom O’Sullivan?
Some actor guy in a show called Ride & Fourplay opening at Eternity Playhouse this week. I think it could be quite good…

What would you do differently to what you do now?
Listen more in class? No, I wouldn’t change anything. Oh, I’d learn a language, but everyone says that.

Who inspires you and why?
I’m pretty lucky, I’m around some exceptionally inspirational people quite often. I guess anyone with the guts to follow something which inspires them.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I feel a bit underqualified to answer that. But anyone who works towards making life better for those less fortunate has my total respect and admiration.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
I love going places for the first time. South America and Africa are high on the to visit list. There’s also a lot of the USA I’d love to explore.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take then to, and why?
I live in Balmain, so like most Balmainers I get people to come to me.

What are you currently reading?
Beginnings by Raymond Carver, my lines and lovely texts from my girlfriend overseas.

What are you currently listening to?
The Tallest Man on Earth, Amy Winehouse, The Rubens, Pandora, Triple J in the car. Also lots of tragic love songs, on repeat (see Ride & Fourplay – you’ll see why).

Happiness is?
Someone to love, somewhere to live, somewhere to work and something to hope for – (not my quote)

What does the future hold for you?
Ah the question every actor loves! I’m heading to LA after the show closes, landing a gig would be nice.
