On the Couch with Tim Ross

Tim Ross photo by Jeremy SimonsWho is Tim Ross?
It really depends on how you google, but I’m a Dad, a husband and person who is broadly interested in design, architecture and things.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
If I had a time machine, I’d head back to the mid 90s and instead of hiring PA systems for my band, I would have purchased one. I would have saved a fortune.

Who inspires you and why?
I’m constantly inspired by people I meet and the conversations I have. Everyone inspires, everyone has knowledge or wisdom to share unless you are a Byron Bay influencer.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I’d compost with more vigour.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
For work and leisure, I love the UK. I’m obsessed by the country side and I’m a sucker for British culture. It’s been under my skin for as long as I can remember.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
A visit to the Art Gallery of NSW and then a walk through the gardens, around the Sydney Opera House, through the Rocks and under the bridge and around to the gardens at Barangaroo. A talk and walk about the city and then I’d let them go pat a Koala and go to Bondi on their own.

What are you currently reading?
Careless People: A story of where I used to work by Sarah Wynn-Williams. A frightening tale of her time working in the upper echelons of META.

What are you currently listening to?
Right now its Hall and Oates.

Happiness is?
Family, friends, sunshine and the Australian Landscape.

What does the future hold for you?
I’m hoping there’s lunch very soon.
