Mary-Poppins-Stefanie-Jones-photo-by-Daniel-BoudWho is Stefanie Jones?
Thirty-year-old female identifying Australian Music Theatre performer. Hailing from Brisbane, Queensland and currently living in Sydney. Lover of good food, good wine and dog memes. Loving fiancée to Aaron and currently playing Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins Australia!

What would you do differently from what you do now?
Absolutely nothing – I am immensely grateful for where I am today, so I wouldn’t change a thing.

Who inspires you and why?
I am lucky to be surrounded by so many incredible human beings – my partner, my family, my colleagues, and my friends. All of whom inspire me greatly. But right now I feel most inspired by our Mary Poppins ensemble and swings. They are more talented and more hard working than any group I’ve ever been a part of.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I consciously work towards becoming more diligent with my lifestyle choices that impact our environment – self educating on Earth safe products, recycling properly and lowering my waste output.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Anywhere! – considering how long it’s been since I took a trip! Globally – I’d love to re-visit Greece. Locally – my happy place for my family and I has always been Noosa in Queensland.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
My favourite local Newtown restaurant – Golden Lotus. Hands down the best Vietnamese AND Vegan food I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating.

What are you currently reading?
Mary Poppins by P.L Travers! It’s taking me a while as there are MANY books in her famous series.

What are you currently listening to?
Podcasts are my daily go to. Favourites include My Favourite Murder, This American Life, This is Love and Shameless!

Happiness is?
Knowing you’re right where you’re meant to be.

What does the future hold for you?
A lot of umbrella choreography.

Stefanie stars as Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins – currently playing at the Sydney Lyric Theatre for a strictly limited season. For more information, visit: www.marypoppinsmusical.com.au for details.
