Who is Sheridan Harbridge?
A lover, a fighter, home kimchi making Grand Designs watcher.
What would you do differently to what you do now?
I have recently taken up sewing, and walk around with a heady, amateur confidence looking at Haute Couture on instagram saying “I could do that.” I could start House of Haute-bridge.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Find a home for every puppy – stop people from buying from pet shops and supporting the puppy farming industry. Pets are being destroyed in shelters every day. It’s absurd.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
In the last four years, I’ve been to New Orleans, Spain and Japan, they are mysterious magic wonderlands – I’m intoxicated by mongrel cultures, especially – where the present culture is born from a melting of many influences – the Creole, french, spanish, African of New Orleans is mind boggling, and the Arabic/Islamic bent of southern Spain fascinates me to my core.
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
For Bloody Marys at the Coogee Pavilion. I don’t know what on earth is in that magic serum, but I dream about them all the time.
What are you currently reading?
East of Eden – John Steinbeck.
What are you currently listening to?
I’m an avid podcaster. I hate being alone with my own brain. Teachers Pet, a must; You Must Remember This – a brilliant Hollywood History podcast; and Stuff You Should Know.
Happiness is?
Coffee in bed.
What does the future hold for you?
The success of House of Haute-bridge, I hope, the discipline to exercise, millions of dollars.
Sheridan can be seen in the dual roles of Adelaide Adams and Susan in Calamity Jane at Sydney’s Belvoir Theatre from 23 August 2018. For more information, visit: www.belvoir.com.au for details.
