On the Couch with Sarah Sweeting

Sarah-Sweeting-AAR-On-the-CouchWho is Sarah Sweeting?
A Yorkshire lass who lives in Australia and who loves life.

What do you do differently from what you do now?
I’ve made mistakes in the past but right now, life is good so there’s nothing I’d do differently.

Who inspires you and why?
From an artist point of view, people like Maria Callas and all the old Greats inspired me as a young singer but now I’m also inspired by people I meet every day who are overcoming their own challenges and who are making choices to make their lives and other peoples lives better.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I try to make a difference in the world that surrounds me. The world of my family, the world of my friends, the world of my work and the environment that I live in. By making choices that are founded in love is truly the difference I try to make.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Anywhere, if family, friends and partner, Eddie were there too. I’ve found that it’s the people you are with who make great holidays not the destination!

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to and why?
In Melbourne I’d say the laneways for the coffee and in Sydney the Opera House of course!

What are you currently reading?
My Barber of Seville score!

What are you currently listening to?
I listen to medical podcasts. Yoga and well-being podcasts and political and current affairs podcasts.

Happiness is?
Happiness is a very hot flat white, a hot bath or better still a spa pool, a walk in the Yorkshire countryside but most of all, sitting with Eddie on the couch with a couple of big fat cats on our laps.

What does the future hold for you?
Life is an adventure and what attracts me to the future is the mystery of it. But whatever it holds, I walk towards it with an open heart.
