On the Couch with Sarah Krndija

Sarah-Krndija-AAR-On-the-CouchWho is Sarah Krndija?
A notorious onstage corpser and dog petting fiend.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
I’d be a translator or a dramaturg and have a dog walking business on the side filled with pooches more devoted to me than they are to their owners.

Who inspires you and why?
My mum and dad. They emigrated from Croatia/Serbia while pregnant with me and started up a shoe shop in Geelong while taking English lessons (that sounds like a plot line of a really questionable musical). They’re tenacious, loving and silly. Also, Viola Davis – because, obviously.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Be kind and recycle.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
I love Halls Gap here in Victoria. Killer ice cream shop, hikes that won’t make you cry, and terrible reception.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Brighton dog beach… Dogs.

What are you currently reading?
Professional Foul by Tom Stoppard.

What are you currently listening to?
Allen Stone, Punch Brothers, Billy Joel and Doja Cat.

Happiness is?
Coffee in the morning with my dog/best pal, Ted.

What does the future hold for you?
I dunno, someone hire me.
