Who is Rachael Azzopardi?
Currently the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Illuminate Adelaide – a new major winter event that takes over Adelaide in July each year.
What would you do differently from what you do now?
Nothing really! Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I try and seize the day and move forward not back.
Who inspires you and why?
My mother. She is smart, funny and the most loving person I know despite going through many of life’s challenges, at 91 years old she is young in mind and spirit and inspires me daily.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Find a cause you care about and act on it today.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Malta – for its food, beaches, history, beauty and family.
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Adelaide Central Markets – it’s a foodies Mecca – incredible local produce and a diverse range of dining experiences all under one roof.

The Illuminate Adelaide 2024 Event Management Plan.
What are you currently listening to?
The wonderful UK electronic artist Max Cooper is on rotation, and I can’t wait to experience his live 3D/AV show when he performs at Illuminate Adelaide this July.
