On the Couch with Phoenix Jackson Mendoza

Phoenix-Jackson-Mendoza-AAR-On-the-CouchWho is Phoenix Jackson Mendoza?
A bit of a class clown who loves snacking, singing and matcha lattes.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
I’d have learnt to speak French and know how to play Drums and guitar… may as well throw in piano while we’re at it.

Who inspires you and why?
My Mum, hands down! She’s taught me just about everything I know. She’s the very reason I work in musical theatre.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Pull all old white males out of positions of Power and replace them with the AOC’s (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez), Michelle Obama’s, Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s, Malala’s, Greta Thunberg’s and Ketanji Brown Jackson’s of the world.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Australia: Darwin… the blue pools of water take my breath away but it’s in competition with Pamakale Turkey – actually Pamakale wins maybe it really was serene.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
We’re going on a hike and then to the most beautiful body of water we can find. We’ll also be heading out to have a boogie and to listen to som good live music.

What are you currently reading?
Bridgerton… safe to say I’m obsessed. I’ve read three books in the series within a month. You can also find me reading anything Dolly Alderton and tandem re-reading at the moment Barefoot Investor! #getyourcoinladies #financialindependance

What are you currently listening to?
Emily King always and forever. I tend to get stuck on an album for a good 3 months before I dabble in something new. I’m also enjoying my girl Doja Kat.

Happiness is?
A journey not a destination. It’s also spending quality time with my family and hearing my friends laughter.

What does the future hold for you?
Hopefully a lot more creative goodness… in many different art forms.
