On the Couch with Patrick Livesey

Patrick Livesey AAR OTC - photo by Amelia J DowdWho is Patrick Livesey?
Patrick Livesey – I’m an actor starring in the Victorian premiere of The Campaign by Campion Decent.

What would you do differently to what you do now?
I would make time to garden. Answer emails straight away. Call my family.

Who inspires you and why?
AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) for speaking her truth and THE truth. My dad for the crazy, fanatical obsession he has with his work. Every activist who has put their life on hold to fight the climate crisis, not to mention those who have no choice but to put their life on hold.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Stop working and become a full time activist. I can’t bring myself to do that so I’m doing the next best thing by bringing activism into my work.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Anywhere with my partner Wil. He’ll make it fun!

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Chelsea Beach. It’s close to the city and it’s SO… NICE! But don’t tell anyone.

What are you currently reading?
Lots of articles about how shitty this Government is and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari.

What are you currently listening to?
According to Spotify? Lizzo, Cub Sport and Janelle Monáe.

Happiness is?
Having a purpose and going for it.

What does the future hold for you?
Lots of work, lots of success and lots of babies. I hope!
