On the Couch with Natalie Abbott

Natalie-Abbott-AAR-On-the-CouchWho is Natalie Abbott?
It still feels weird to say that I’m an actor, but maybe it’ll never not feel weird! So, I’m an actor. I do stage and screen acting and I absolutely love it. I’m also highly emotional and cry at almost every NRMA ad ever.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
Probably meal prep, do my taxes and learn my choreography.

Who inspires you and why?
I’m so inspired by the incredible women in my life. Some of my dearest friends have been pioneers in advocating for safe work environments for women, writing and creating homegrown works, and achieving success in historically male dominated environments. My friends and family who support me every day inspire me to no end. Special shout-out to my mum, sister, grandmothers and besties.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Get all the billionaires to share their money because they have too much.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Going back to where I grew up has become my favourite holiday destination now! I get to spend time with my family in the most beautiful part of NSW.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Probably dinner at Opera Bar. Looking out at the harbour is never not magical.

What are you currently reading?
My script. Over and over again!

What are you currently listening to?
A wonderful podcast by two of the funniest women I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, Mel and Sam on a Sexy little Mic on Spotify.

Happiness is?
Summer sun, friends, performing, laughing until I almost wet my pants.

What does the future hold for you?
Hopefully really good things! Having fun in the job I love surrounded by people I love *fingers crossed*
