On the Couch with Naomi Price

The Little Red Company Naomi PriceWho is Naomi Price?
Naomi Price is the co-founder and artistic director of The Little Red Company, an experienced and accomplished performer, and an industry leader who is passionate about inclusion.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
I would marry John Mayer and live a life of luxury and excess.

Who inspires you and why?
Anyone who owns a small business and runs it with integrity, compassion and ambition.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I would end the war in Palestine, abolish the gender pay gap, ensure billionaires are taxed accurately, make soft plastics illegal, and eliminate the alarming rate of male violence in Australia.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Finland – I was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights this year and I would go back in a heartbeat. It’s a remarkable country, unlike anywhere I’ve ever been. I loved the opportunity to slow down, switch off and experience a truly unique location.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I am a big foodie, so my love for Brisbane restaurants knows no bounds. I would head to Rogue Bar and Bistro for an incredible degustation experience, Honto for elevated Japanese, Bianca for an Italian long lunch, Bosco for smoky shared goodness, or down to Felons at Howard Smith Wharves for relaxed vibes and the best view in Brisbane.

What are you currently reading?
Chloe Hayden’s Different Not Less, an empowering lived experience guide to neurodivergence

What are you currently listening to?
Jordan Rakei, Cody Fry, Tom Misch, and Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter on repeat.

Happiness is?
Good food, great wine and an amazing view in the company of your favourite people in the world, and no one is worried about who’s getting the bill.

What does the future hold for you?
The final show of our national tour of Rumour Has It in Melbourne, writing a new children’s show adapted from Rachel Burke’s book Fancy Long Legs, and preparing myself spiritually for our annual Christmas activity – it’s the most wonderful and the most intense time of the year! And hopefully some delightful surprises along the way…
