Who is Mitch Tambo?
Mitch Tambo is a proud Gamilaraay man, Sony music recording artist, and qualified social worker who is on a mission to empower those that come into contact with his music and message to embrace their identity and to celebrate it with an open heart. Tambo blends traditional sounds and rhythms with high-end pop production to create a unique style that has seen him recently reach his 10th number one on the iTunes music world charts.
What would you do differently from what you do now?
All I have ever wanted to do is share my culture, so it’s hard to say what you would do different when you are in the thick of your purpose.
Who inspires you and why?
My beautiful wife Lea (The Voice of Lele) who is a vocalist in Burn the Floor, inspires and empowers me to be a better man every day along with my incredible daughters.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Continue to heal what needs to be healed and continue to be the best possible version of myself in the hope that in me doing so flows into my relationship with my wife, girls, family, friends and out into the world with those we come into contact with.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Beautiful tropical, coastal, island vibes with blue skies, perfect waves and my loved ones. I love to surf and be outdoors with those I hold close to my heart. I also find the salt water extremely healing.
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I would take them to a place based around our friendship. I think each friendship is built upon different layers so it’s hard to give a blanket statement.
What are you currently reading?
I like to read books on self discovery, wellness and holistic health approaches.
What are you currently listening to?
I love country music. At the moment I’m blasting Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen.
Happiness is?
Happiness may just be letting go and being in the now not the past or the future.
What does the future hold for you?
My wife by my side, happy, loved children. Laughs, hugs, date nights and many other incredible moments to be had and shared with those we hold close to our heart.
