On the Couch with Milad Norouzi

Milad Norouzi AAR On the CouchWho is Milad Norouzi?
A rapper, a singer and songwriter. I write, sing and rap in a new style created by me, a mixture of two totally different styles of music. I am also known by Milad Kawa which is my stage name. The name Kawa is taken from the Japanese language which means River. Unstoppable! You can make a dam to slow down the flow, but eventually, I’m going to fill up and pass through that too.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
Until now, I’ve done things just to get by. I would stick to my passion which is music and acting until I get a “break” – rather than doing what comes my way and waiting for the best to happen. That’s what I’d do differently.

Who inspires you and why?
People in general, because no matter how things turn out, and wont go our way, we still manage to come out on top as we always did in the past. We are indeed interesting creatures and work in our own mysterious ways.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Spread love and awareness through my music to the world until we are all awake and united with one voice.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Kuala Lumpur – the city never goes to sleep and always fun to see the night life. That’s the luxury that we don’t have here!

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Werribee Zoo – to see the beauty of the world in one place.

What are you currently reading?
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

What are you currently listening to?
One of my own creations which I am proud of – a song called: The Little Lion Heart.

Happiness is?
Drinking a hot cup of tea with your family on any day of the week.

What does the future hold for you?
I can never be sure what it holds for me, but I’m sure I know it wont disappoint me. The future is always full of enjoyment and mysteries, which I can’t wait to unpack, like Christmas presents on Christmas day!
