On the Couch with Mick Bani

Mick-Bani-AAR-On-the-CouchWho is Mick Bani?
Wagadagamulayg. Kuki Gubalayg. Baydham Zugub. Ngay Koedal (Just a snippet of my true tribal identity).

What would you do differently from what you do now?
Win back my morning routine. Period.

Who inspires you and why?
My Soul Mate Karinda and our beautiful children. While I’m away pursuing a career – more so fulfilling a purpose – they’re at home keeping up with their daily routine.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I’d continue the work I’m doing because if I can at least make a difference in one person’s life then I’ve made a difference in this world.

Favorite holiday destination and why?
My family lives in the Sunshine Coast. Every day is a holiday up there!

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Come watch Harry Potter of course, and then I’d get in touch with my friends at Visit Victoria as they’d recommend some awesome places to visit.

What are you currently reading?
I’m reading 2 books at the moment: one at work called Anxious People by Fredrik Backman and the second one I read in the tram to work called The Everyday Hero Manifesto by Robin Sharma.

What are you currently listening to?
Wonder Woman – John Legend (on repeat). This is because of question 3.

Happiness is?
A perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.

What does the future hold for you?
Travel and immerse myself within indigenous communities and its people in this great saltwater country. And give their young people a platform for them to create the same opportunities as I’ve had.
