What would you do differently from what you do now?
I wouldn’t change anything, everything that I have done in the past has lead me to where I am today and has allowed me to grow, change and develop into the person that I am today. I am so happy with the person that I have become and am so beyond grateful to have had so many amazing opportunities and experiences in my life leading me to now.
Who inspires you and why?
I’ve had many influencers in my years as a dancer, it is really hard to mention anyone in particular as I have been motivated by so many competitors around me who push me to be the best I can be. I have also been inspired by many choreographers and dancer in the commercial dance world who helped me become the versatile dancer I am today. I am also heavily inspired by my fellow dancers, who help push me to improve with every performance. I am extremely grateful to be surrounded by such supportive family and friends that allow me to express myself to the most incredible extremities.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
For myself to make a difference in the world I would make myself available and open to anyone who is struggling in any way especially in the LGBT community who’s is wanting support to be there for them when they are in any time of need to make them feel comfortable and confident in themselves when coming to terms of their own identity.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Out of the places I have been it would have to be Maui in Hawaii as it has been a staple holiday destination for me and my family in the past and have always loved every single experience there. But would love to travel somewhere I haven’t been to. A relaxing location like the Maldives or a picturesque location such as Italy.
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
When my friends come to visit a couple of my favourite places to visit are Bondi Beach and Maroubra Beach and also doing the walk along the coast of Malabar headland national park. These places I would definitely take people to see and also having a good lunch somewhere with friends is loads of fun. Usually because of dance it is I that has to travel around the world to compete and perform.
What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading a book called The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes that my friend recommended to me. I’m not normally a huge reader but really trying to get more into it.
What are you currently listening to?
Currently my favourite artists to listen to include Billie Eilish, FKA Twigs, Tanerélle, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat and other artists in that realm. I suppose you could say I am currently listening to more pop sort of music as it makes me feel relaxed.
Happiness is?
Happiness to me is having people around you who make me feel happy, have a good time and excited to get up and spend time with them. Doing something that brings me joy without any sort of negative affect on me. It’s just being satisfied with myself and what I surround myself with.
What does the future hold for you?
In my future I hope to be performing in the dance realm whether that be onstage dancing backup for artists, in musicals, in music videos, even just in classes where I am able to continue to grow and express myself through movement. I do hope that I am able to expand more through dance into other fields whilst keeping dance as a structure to come back to but that all depends on where I am lead in the future. One day I’d love to pass on my knowledge of dance onto younger generations in each style of dance I have been trained.
