Who is Kiana Daniele?
Kiana Daniele (she/her) … is a loud, smiley Italian Australian from Melbourne who is currently performing in A Little Night Music at The Hayes as Petra.
What would you do differently from what you do now?
If the question is referring to life, then less time on social media. I am definitely that person that starts my day with a morning scroll and I am actively trying to change that. If the question is referring to career, I have no . ..anything I do would have to fulfil me though, I struggle when I don’t love what I do.
Who inspires you and why?
Currently my sister Tenika inspires me. In the last few weeks she has become a mother and it is truly something special witnessing your sister step into that role and caring for a child. She does it with such grace, joy and ease. I can’t wait to continue to witness this journey for her and her husband, they are both truly incredible humans.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I want to start running consent and intimacy workshops more frequently for people. Having a space where people can practice these conversations with more confidence and ease. I’ve found from personal experience that having the language to effectively communicate boundaries and consent changes almost every aspect of your life. You move through life so differently and I want to support people through that.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Italy and do I really need to explain why?! The food, the culture, the history, YUM. Get me on that plane!
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
My kitchen in Brunswick East for good food, music and vino!! My partner and I love to host and cook dinner with mates when they come to town.
What are you currently reading?
The lyrics to The Miller’s Son over and over again…
What are you currently listening to?
My daily song at the moment is Candle Flame by Jungle and Erick the Architect.
Happiness is?
Happiness for me can be any given thing at any given moment, big or small, a moment that makes me feel joy – my morning coffee is happiness!
What does the future hold for you?
I am currently training to be an Intimacy Coordinator and Director, so I am hoping the future holds some experiences there… but otherwise hopefully the future holds more joy and challenges!
