Who is Kelly Robinson?
Kelly Robinson is an Actress and Hypnotherapist. Yes I am serious about being a Hypnotherapist, and no, I will not hypnotize you to cluck like a chicken. I can’t control people. If I could I would be on a desert island with Michael Fassbender, but alas I am on my couch with my computer eating chocolate. Delicious!
What would you do differently from what you do now?
I think I would be a Detective. I love being a Detective with my characters and the script, so I think that’s where that comes from. I also love helping my hypnotherapy clients and being like a detective in their brain. Love it! I am obsessed with true crime documentaries… I am ashamed to say I have done a yoga work out whilst watching Forensic Files. It was kinda relaxing… and weird… So yeah a Detective. Detective Robinson does have a nice ring to it.
Who inspires you and why?
My fellow actors inspire me, my clients inspires me and my parents inspires me. Love you mum and dad!
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Right now I would make an unlimited amount of toilet paper available for everyone. I am on my last roll and this toilet roll madness is so stupid.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Scotland – It’s beautiful. It’s like Giant Country there and I’m tall so I fit right in.
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I’d take them to Sydney Park because it’s like doggy heaven and dogs are the best. Or the zoo! Anything to do with animals.
What are you currently reading?
My script and my character back story notes. There’s always more detective work to be done. Come to my show. Neighbourhood Watch at the New Theatre: 17 March – 9 April!
What are you currently listening to?
My Cocker Spaniel dog Ori snoring. I’m jealous. Naps are the best.
Happiness is?
Happiness is watching my dog Ori run around with a stick in her mouth wanting me to chase her. Then trying to fit two sticks and a ball in her mouth because why have one toy in your mouth when you can have three.
What does the future hold for you?
So much detective work with my future characters, future clients and more Ori fun. Speaking of which… where did Ori hide my socks? The detective work never ends!
Kelly features in New Theatre’s production of Lally Katz’s Neighbourhood Watch from 17 March – 9 April 2020. For more information, visit: www.newtheatre.org.au for details.
