On the Couch with Kane Alexander

Kane Alexander AAR On the CouchWho is Kane Alexander?
Someone who loves a moody jazz bar with a Negroni in hand. An appreciator of art in all its forms. A daydreamer, storyteller and …

What would you do differently to what you do now?
Alternate my time between a villa in the hills of Tuscany and a warehouse apartment in the West Village, New York.

Who inspires you and why?
Anyone who creates art (music, dance, sculpture, etc) despite existing in a world that makes that difficult. It is not easy to survive as an artist in this world. I know incredible artists who create because it is who they are and sharing their creativity with the world feeds their souls. To me, that is extraordinarily inspiring.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I’d love to help preserve incredible music written over a century ago by introducing it to newer generations. Music must be heard to be remembered.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
New York – it’s electric, full of creative inspiration no matter which way you turn, and is beautiful in its imperfection.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
The Great Ocean Road – breathtakingly beautiful, rugged & plenty of great coffee spots along the journey.

What are you currently reading?
Start With Why by Simon Sinek.

What are you currently listening to?
Ella Fitzgerald: The Complete Collection – my go to for a pick-me-up.

Happiness is?
Believing in yourself and helping others do the same.

What does the future hold for you?
Hopefully, lots more music. Finding new songs, telling new stories and discovering new artists to inspire me.
