What would you do differently from what you do now?
Nothing.

Who inspires you and why?
St John of the Cross was a Spanish mystic and saint of the 1500s who in the middle of the most misogynistic society imaginable wrote poems about the soul’s journey in which she identified as female.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I write and I perform.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Brazil: because it has such beautiful diversity and wonderful creative energy. Or maybe Finland because of the saunas.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
My flat, because it has views over the Leith harbour in Edinburgh.

What are you currently reading?
Four Ways To Forgiveness by Ursula K. Le Guin.

What are you currently listening to?
Nale Alakh by Abida Parveen (“The Sufi Queen”).

Happiness is?
Living in creativity and love.

What does the future hold for you?
Many joys I cannot anticipate.
