What would you do differently to what you do now?
My alternative fantasy life is to be the bass player in Michael Jackson’s band, but for all kinds of reasons that is probably not going to happen now.
Who inspires you and why?
Patti Smith – for her ability to never lose touch with her true self.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Install an indigenous woman as Prime Minister of Australia IMMEDIATELY!
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Camping at Gariwerd (The Grampians). Campfires, emus, waterfalls and spooky mountains.
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I always take friends to the Lyrebird walk in The Dandenongs – where we walk through the rainforest listening and sometimes spying on the world’s most astonishing songbird.
What are you currently reading?
Dark Emu by Bruce Pascoe.
What are you currently listening to?
Planningtorock’s new album, Powerhouse.
Happiness is?
Elusive and fleeting. Usually involves dancing.
What does the future hold for you?
More music! More strawberries! More dancing!
