On the Couch with Jennifer Vuletic

Jennifer-Vuletic-AAR-On-the-CouchWho is Jennifer Vuletic?
A Croatian Australian post-pandemic survivor with a love of strange rich dishes, eclectic music, German art galleries and constant variety.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
I would have concentrated on piano scales, tap routines and the musical canon, thereby ensuring my place in the ever-changing world of cross-art performance.

Who inspires you and why?
My parents – one of whom I lost this year at the astonishing age of 101. For their love, for their constancy, for their unfailing attempts to understand their child. And my colleagues Aura Go and Richard Pyros – such minds and hearts, such indefatigable pursuit of excellence.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Quit my day job (and my night job) and join the struggle against the planet’s desecration at the hands of its heedless occupants.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Prague – the olde worlde beauty, the elegance, the heavy meat meals, the delightful summer light.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
The Botanical Gardens – always delivering a joyous, rejuvenating experience (and The Botanical with its phenomenal food!)

What are you currently reading?
The Tipping Point by the estimable Malcolm Gladwell.

What are you currently listening to?
Aura Go’s heartbreakingly beautiful renditions of Chopin’s Preludes! What a rare joy! Also Kenneth Soares meditations …

Happiness is?
The love, patience and sheer knowingness of dear friends.

What does the future hold for you?
If I knew that I’d know what to wear in the mornings! Performance-wise? Stay tuned for some forthcoming Festival news (national and International).
