On the Couch with Jacinta Larcombe

An analytical kooky vessel experiencing the extremities of life.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
I think the only things I would do differently is learn how to save my money and remember all my dreams.

Who inspires you and why?
The creators in this life. My queer family, the rebels and women in the sex work industry.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I think I would implement a better sexual education program in schools and end ignorance and violence to marginalised groups of people.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Probably when I become entranced by my favourite fantasy films, like The Dark Crystal, I wanna go there.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Connections for a good boogy and fun queer time.

What are you currently reading?
Sex by The School of Life.

What are you currently listening to?
Boy Harsher – it’s real good.

Happiness is?
Staying connected and present with all the people I love and who love me.

What does the future hold for you?
More drag performances, spell work and rubbing my face against plants.

Jacinta has created and performs in the world premiere of Slutdrop at Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) as part of the 2020 FRINGE WORLD program: 4 – 7 February. For more information, visit: www.pica.org.au for details.
