On the Couch with Hue William Blanes

Hue Blanes Arts Review On the CouchWho is Hue William Blanes?
Still don’t know!

What would you do differently to what you do now?
Not put as much chilli in my dumpling soup.

Who inspires you and why?
People who do things that I know absolutely nothing about. Like baristas, train drivers, airline pilots and real estate agents.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Not make a difference.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Bali – cheap and expensive at the same time.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Maybe we’d just listen to records after a nice winter stew and some hearty red. If that fails to get support then perhaps Cinema Nova cheap Mondays.

What are you currently reading?
Charles Mingus autobiography.

What are you currently listening to?
Shostakovich preludes and fugues. One of the many Naxos recordings.

Happiness is?
Answering these questions. And… A morning in with the rain pouring outside, dressing gown, percolated coffee and sautéed wild mushrooms heavily laden with salt, and salted butter.

What does the future hold for you?
You can’t hold the future!
