On the Couch with Gina Mobayed

Gina Mobayed AAR On the CouchWho is Gina Mobayed?
I am a curator, I work with living artists to produce and place new work.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
I have been working with contemporary art for over a decade and am very nourished and inspired by what I do.

Who inspires you and why?
I am inspired by many people and in my immediate surrounds I work with a cohort of exceptional thinkers who care deeply about what they do. People who are resilient, honest and want to make a difference inspire me, and people who can laugh at themselves.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Improve the way we value human connections. I feel we are more distant from each other than ever.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
I like Milan, because the simplest of activities are charming and beautiful there.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Bronte baths is a good spot, it helps to measure one’s appetite for cold water.

What are you currently reading?
Question 7 by Richard Flanagan and a host of poetry.

What are you currently listening to?
A playlist my friend Sarah and I are collaborating on!

Happiness is?
Honesty, with yourself and those around you; kindness and lots of laughter.

What does the future hold for you?
Learning, giving, and more freedom to work with big ideas.
