Who is Elena Kirschbaum?
An events producer, plus an acrobat, a juggler and an MC.
What would you do differently to what you do now?
There are so many things I love to do, I’d find something! But if I could I’d still be working in the events and circus worlds, just with a different role. These communities are amazing, traveling the world with shows and events and is a joy!
Who inspires you and why?
I find the most inspiring people are people who keep a positive and optimistic attitude even when the world is getting them down. It’s not easy, especially if you’re a compassionate and passionate person, to stay positive. People who can do that raise up the people around them, and I think that is wonderful.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Anything I could. I think most people don’t get to make differences in big ways. It’s about making as many little differences as you can, as often as you can.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Budapest in the summer. The city is beautiful, the outdoor culture and attitude of the residents is amazing. And the food is great!
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take then to, and why?
I try to take them to at least one live performance or festival. Melbourne is so blessed to have so much going on all the time!!
What are you currently reading?
Oh I wish I had time for reading at the moment!! Bally On High is upon us, and an event like this takes over my life in the lead up to it! When I do have time to read I like to read fantasy. I love to escape into something that doesn’t resemble the real world at all, so I can get lost in it! Brandon Sanderson is my favourite.
What are you currently listening to?
Old school classic rock most often. It just makes me so happy to listen to it! It’s impossible to be stressed with a bit of Farhnam, Alice Cooper, Toto or Journey.
Happiness is?
Cup of tea and a timtam on the balcony.
What does the future hold for you?
More events, more shows, more travel, more fun (fingers crossed!!)
