Who is Dean Schulz?
Dean Schulz is a Melbourne-based performer with a wealth of experience in professional Music theatre and dance.
What would you do differently from what you do now?
I would love to be back playing competitive sports – especially tennis. I don’t play sports often anymore to avoid any extra injuries. I definitely wouldn’t give up the dancing for it though.
Who inspires you and why?
Robert Sturrock. His talent, drive and resilience is something I have always been inspired by. On top of that he has been a great friend and mentor to me over the last 10 years.
What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I would love to help bring back the Good Friday Appeal variety shows to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Favourite holiday destination and why?
Hobart. It’s my home away from home. It is quiet and picturesque. I love heading down to Hobart to catch up with friends and family as much as possible.
When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I would take them straight to the Great Ocean Road. I love spending time at the beach with friends.
What are you currently reading?
Currently I am reading Michael Jordan: The Life – a biography written by Roland Lazenby.
What are you currently listening to?
I mainly liked to listen to Phil Collins, Michael Jackson or the F1: Beyond the grid podcast.
Happiness is?
I think that changes from person to person. For me, I know I am always at my happiest when I am busy performing or taking the time to see my friends and family.
What does the future hold for you?
Who knows… I like to try and live in the moment as much as possible. Fingers crossed something fun and fulfilling.
