On the Couch with Conor Putland

Conor-Putland-AAR-On-the-CouchWho is Conor Putland?
Conor Putland is a 22 year old, caffeinated, actor and dog dad who grew up on the sunny Gold Coast. When not treading the boards you’ll catch him napping, eating out, dancing, or even watching re-runs of Friends.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
I would love to still be involved in the entertainment industry in some form or capacity, secretly I’d love to be in a boyband.

Who inspires you and why?
Anyone that faces adversity or tragedy and overcomes that inspires me greatly. However, I admire RuPaul, The Obama’s and Oprah.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I’d like to think that telling stories through theatre and art is making small differences to the world. Although it isn’t life changing, theatre allows audiences to escape and forget about mundane life for an hour or so. Making people laugh and smile is so needed right now.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
I’ve only ever been overseas once to Bali so by default, Bali. I’d love to explore more places in the future but the monkey forest in Ubud has my heart.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Growing up on the Gold Coast I would have to say the theme parks are the best bet. Nothing like an overpriced hot dog and the Scooby Doo Coaster to get your heart pumping.

What are you currently reading?
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid – loving it!

What are you currently listening to?
Harry Styles.

Happiness is?
Laughing with friends and family

What does the future hold for you?
Hopefully more performing, travel, laughs and covid tests.
