On the Couch with Chantelle Jamieson

Chantelle Jamieson AAR On the CouchWho is Chantelle Jamieson?
I’m a Sydney based actor who was born in Birmingham, grew up in Melbourne and studied in Perth.

What would you do differently to what you do now?
I would love to be one of those detectives who lives in a small village, where there is a new crime each week, that only I can solve.

Who inspires you and why?
Sister Rosetta Tharpe – because she was a true original, a woman well ahead of her time and almost half a century after her death there still isn’t anyone like her.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
Outlaw leaf blowers.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Turin in the north of Italy. It’s a beautiful city, full of baroque architecture at the foot of the alps. It’s a city that my partner and I have spent quite a bit of time in.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
I always take friends to the coastal walk between Coogee Beach and Bondi – it’s such a stunningly unique part of Sydney.

What are you currently reading?
The subtle art of not giving a f**k by Mark Manson

What are you currently listening to?
Like everyone else at the moment, I’m listening to Lizzo.

Happiness is?
Cuddling up on the couch with my partner and our cat, Nina Simone.

What does the future hold for you?
I don’t know, but hopefully another holiday in Turin.
