AAR-OTC-Brendan-McLean-photo-by-Brock-ElbankWho is Brendan Maclean?
Brendan Maclean is a singer-songwriter from Sydney who has, once more, run off from his responsibilities to join the cabaret.

What would you do differently from what you do now?
I’d have an extra bottle of champagne prepared in the fridge, this one is almost empty.

Who inspires you and why?
There is a big cat who lives a few doors down from me and everyday on my walk to get coffee he pops out for a bum scratch and bumps his face against my ankles and it makes me so happy.

What would you do to make a difference in the world?
I’m a thirty three year old queer musician, that’s enough servicing the world’s grievances to last a lifetime.

Favourite holiday destination and why?
Italy, because someone else paid.

When friends come to town, what attraction would you take them to, and why?
Mrs. Underwood Café in Stanmore, because everything there is delicious, they serve coffee and wine and are a four minute walk from my house.

What are you currently reading?
A lot more French than I expected to be reading.

What are you currently listening to?
Jesse Ware – What’s Your Pleasure.

Happiness is?
The 2011 pop smash hit sung by Alexis Jordan and produced by Deadmau5.

What does the future hold for you?
Depends on how many tickets sell for L’Hotel coming to Adelaide Cabaret Festival!

Brendan stars in the world premiere | Adelaide exclusive season of L’Hôtel – which will be presented as part of the 2021 Adelaide Cabaret Festival: 11 – 20 June. For more information, visit: www.adelaidecabaretfestival.com.au for details.
